The heatwave has cleared and now NZ has a new W to SW airflow across the country.
Most places will notice a cool down athough some in the north of both islands still have hot days and warm nights.
The bulk of the rain has cleared the lower and western South Island and now we have a shower, sometimes colder S to SW wind. Another surge of showers this weekend – and cooler winds – moves through.
However next week high pressure to NZ’s west looks likely to slowly track in bringing more dry weather, especially to the North Island.
