The long weekend is upon us and for some regions it will be sunny, dry and mild – but for others, windy, wet and colder.

We track the rain, showers, snow flurries and when the next surge(s) of gale westerlies arrives (we’re not done with them yet, but they don’t look as intense as they’ve been this week).

The polar boundary will also continue to bring colder weather to the South Island at times.
