what poor timing with the weekend low phil cant the high stay with us for 3 days longer??? and now more thunderstorms are possible this long weekend. i am tired of them waking me up lol.

Hey Phil, Iโve noticed that in Hawkes Bay when rain appears in the forecast it can show up as a significant amount 10-20mm or more when itโs a week or more out, but as the forecasted rainy days draw closer the forecast amount reduces and often it comes to only a few light showers. I mention because itโs a pattern Iโve seen a few times. Anything in the model that could be tweaked around this?

Hi David โ this happens when the precise placement of a large and usually complex low pressure zone isnโt yet locked in. Watch our daily weather videos along with your local forecast and you will soon understand why this is happening ๐

Please let us know if itโs still broken in a week or so โ we only display weather observations, we donโt operate them. Most usually come right within a week but we can remove permanently broken ones.

Hi there, local weather forecasting from the moonโs cycle is not considered accurate or reliable. We donโt have the time or energy to be commenting on how other people do their own way of forecasting but you can compare that forecast with reality to see if it comes true or not.
