This weekend will be 4 to 8 degrees above normal in a number of regions, especially those in the south and east and inland.
Sub-tropical and Aussie nor’westers are the reason why.
High pressure crosses the North Island this weekend and next week another high comes in over the South Island.
This second high may push a potential sub-tropical rainmaker further out to sea – meaning those in drought in the north again miss out on rain. It’s a bit of a 50/50 set up – we have the latest.

how come those highs cant reel those lows back in as it goes anti clockwise……I see you have removed the rain from the katikati forcast
