VIDEO: Southerlies, sunshine and a cyclone

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Both New Zealand and eastern Australia have some dynamic, changeable, weather coming over the next week or so.

New Zealand hits reset on Friday and Friday night with a colder change sweeping up NZ and removing that northern humidity – but incredibly brings a mid-December frost risk to some inland parts of the South Island.

Next week a small offshore storm hits Sydney and brushes other eastern areas while in the tropics between Fiji and Vanuatu a tropical cyclone is expected to form – and may well reach NZ (or the NZ area) in about 10 days from now.
