We’ve sped up our Pacific Video to bring more detail to the Northern Hemisphere and have started animating days that are otherwise, well, a bit quiet and boring! It’s a way to break through the normal tropical showers and find the real storms and lows impacting the lives and holidays of many.
This week we have a low forming near Vanuatu and New Caledonia worth keeping an eye on – it may bring welcome rain to Norfolk Island maybe even on to New Zealand later next week.
In the Northern Hemisphere Japan has 3 stormy lows over the next 7 days bringing plenty more wintry weather and snow to the mountains. For North America and Hawaii the Pacific area isn’t too stormy but Northern California has heavy rain caught up in a wet westerly flow off the Pacific.
And finally our 7 day rainfall map will now be split into two: Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere, to bring more detail to our Northern Hemisphere viewers.
