Low pressure crosses the North Island over Tuesday and moves out to the east of the North Island in the coming days – encouraging more rain and showers around the North Island, mostly in the east.
The wind flow will be a south-easterly for many in the north which should see western areas drying back out again. The South Island will get brushed by some patchy light rain and drizzle in the east but in the days ahead a sou’wester kicks back in bringing wintry weather this weekend.
We have your detailed forecast through until Sunday…

Is it going to improve. How come you never tell us when it’s going to be sunny. Really over the bad weather. Always rain, rain and more rain.

It’s heading into winter soon so it’s not going to be sunny for a while now. Leave NZ if you don’t like it
