High pressure is finally returning to NZ this week bringing dry weather back to Southland, Westland and many other parts of the country.
Colder southerlies will also help bring frosts back to the South Island interior, especially on Wednesday morning – with some frosts also going into the eastern side of the lower North Island, mostly at higher elevation.
A low near Fiji will deepen south of Tonga this week and will likely become a sub-tropical storm. Despite it tracking towards NZ current modelling suggests it may get close to the North Island but fail to get here. It is worth monitoring.
We have your NZ forecast to Sunday.
