Happening Now / Developing — As we reported last night parts of the US, Canada and western Europe are in a heatwave. Now as sun sets across USA we report on the temperatures there.

It’s the 9pm hour in Chicago and temperatures are close to 30 degrees.

It’s the 8pm hour in Denver and temperatures hover in the low 30s.

It’s the 7pm hour in Las Vegas and Phoenix where temperatures remain in the low 40s Celsius.

Parts of Canada in the 9 to 10pm time zones have temperatures hovering around the late 20s.

A large high in the eastern USA is helping drive in the very hot, humid, air from the Gulf of Mexico.
