Anticyclonic conditions today meaning still more settled weather, the east coasts of both Island cop some cloud however sunny spells will break through into the afternoon.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato, CNI & BOP
Mostly sunny skies with light winds, afternoon sea breezes. Some cloud along Northland’s eastern coastline.
Highs: 25-27

East of the North Island
Cloudy at first with the chance of a drizzle patch especially about Gisborne, sunny breaks develop in the afternoon. Southerly breezes.
Highs: 22-23
 
Western North Island
Sunny with southeast breezes.
Highs: 23-25

Marlborough & Wellington
Morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day in, southeasterly breezes.
Highs: 18-19

Nelson
Sunny in Nelson with afternoon sea breezes.
Highs: 22-23

Canterbury
Cloud to start then afternoon sunny spells, easterly breezes develop in the morning.
Highs: 18-20

West Coast
Mostly sunny skies with light northerlies, there could be a few areas of cloud morning and again overnight.
Highs: 21-23

Southland & Otago
Sunny skies for Southland and Central Otago with some cloud about mainly morning and night, light winds. About coastal Otago skies will be mostly cloudy with northeasterlies.
Highs: 16-18, 25 inland
