POLL RESULTS: Winter given a pass mark by two thirds of kiwis

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Our readers have delivered their verdict on a topsy-turvy winter, and it seems that most kiwis are relatively happy with the last 3 months.

We asked visitors to WeatherWatch.co.nz to “Rate your winter” in our last poll, between 1 and 5 – 1 being terrible and 5 being the best ever.

Overall, more than 66% of voters graded winter a 3 or above – with those figures reflective of a relatively dry and sunny August (before the fireworks of the first week of spring!)

A combined 34 percent of voters graded their winter either “terrible” or “could have been worse”, perhaps those who were seriously affected by the late winter storms that caused flooding and power problems in both islands.
