A cool southerly airflow lies over New Zealand on Tuesday, the place to be is the West Coast of the South Island with a mostly sunny day in store.
A mix of sun and cloud for the upper North Island on Tuesday, there may be a shower or two about otherwise mainly dry. In the evening showers push into Northland. Showers continue along the east coast for most of the day, gradually easing. A few showers in the west also south of Taranaki, clearing in the evening.
Sunny for the West Coast of the South Island, showers in the northeast gradually ease and mostly clear in the afternoon although one or two may hang on till evening. Any early showers clear Southland / Otago then some sun may even break through. Showers push back into Southland during the afternoon then reaching Otago in the evening.
