InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Monday / Tuesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

An anticyclone brings mainly settled conditions to New Zealand today, despite this there will be some areas of cloud and the chance of a shower or two for certain regions. Still anticyclonic for much of New Zealand on Tuesday however there will be a westerly quarter airflow moving over the country.

Morning cloud about the upper North Island breaks to mostly sunny weather today, cloud builds a little again this afternoon especially about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty where there is the risk of a late afternoon / evening isolated shower. Mostly sunny for the lower North Island, some cloud at times especially this afternoon about inland hills / ranges. Mainly dry for a majority of the South Island today, there may be a shower or two at times in the west, then this afternoon some drizzle may develop about South Canterbury pushing into North Canterbury this evening.

A mix of sun and cloud for the western side of the North Island on Tuesday, sunnier conditions out east. A similar story for the South Island although cloud will be thicker in the west with a light shower or two possible at times.
