A southerly airflow lies over all of New Zealand on Friday, showers or rain in the east while conditions are drier and sunnier out west.

A cool day for eastern New Zealand on Friday with showers for most regions, morning rain may be heavy about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne then easing from afternoon.

Drier conditions for western New Zealand, chance of an isolated shower about Northland and Auckland in the evening.
