Low pressure sits west of the country on Friday directing a northeasterly airflow over New Zealand.

Areas of rain or showers for western parts of New Zealand on Friday, rain may be heavy along the South Island’s West Coast at times. Generally speaking conditions are drier in the east however a few showers may affect inland areas along the South Islands East Coast, especially Southland and Otago.
