Planes are swarming back into European skies today following airports re-opening after this week’s ash cloud.
This image below, taken at 3pm today, shows all flights carrying an ADS-B – a certain type of transponder that allows www.Flightradar24.com to track live airplane traffic from different parts around the world.
Only airplanes equipped with an ADS-B transponder within the coverage area of their 100 receivers are visible on the map, but it clearly shows skies over Europe buzzing with the sound of jet engines.
