A very unsual place made the national high today – Milford Sound on 19 thanks to a gusty, warm, wind.  As of 4pm it was still 18 degrees!

Immmm….interesting. A reversal of the Foehn effect that we get here in Canterbury. Other places on the west side of the Alps would of seen mild temperatures as well.
Mind you it is common for that to happen in situations like this.
