A blocking high pressure zone over the Tasman Sea coupled with low pressure west of Melbourne will encourage wet weather to line up along the south eastern corner of Australia for the next five days ahead.
Rain will be held up through inland parts of VIC and NSW by both the mountains and ranges but also that high pressure zone to the east. ACT is also affected.
Rainfall totals exceed 100mm in some locations, including into the outback.
