Throughout today WeatherWatch.co.nz will have numerous updates as ex-tropical cyclone Zelia approaches and crosses New Zealand.
Due to the increased number of updates expected today we thought we’d start a seperate thread for weather conditions where you are – making it easy for everyone to contribute and all in one place.
As Zelia approaches we’re keen to hear what conditions are like where you are.

At work here at Whenuapai. Where is the wind and rain promised? Gusting to bugger all at the moment – just hot and sticky……is it still coming or what?

Zelia tracked west of Auckland but was so small when she passed (the severe gales were only covering an area the size of Lake Taupo if not smaller but that stage) that it simply didnt hit Auckland. If it had been 100kms closer it would’ve been much stormier…was very close.
