The weather forecast for Guy Fawkes celebrations tonight and tomorrow night is varied across New Zealand reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.
Tonight Christchurch and Wellington are expected to be most exposed to strong, cold, southerlies and showers, however conditions should be starting to ease in Christchurch as the evening wears on.
Wellington, however, will be seeing conditions go down hill – with a cold southerly change arriving tonight.
Showers are expected along the east coast of the North Island but conditions in the west should be improving, but winds may be a little brisk for those wanting to light bonfires.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says that Saturday night’s forecast looks far more positive across the nation as a high moves in from the west. Skies should be mostly dry and clear in the north, west and south, with only Wellington and eastern parts of the North Island seeing a few remaining clouds and brisk winds.
However conditions are likely to be colder tomorrow night right across New Zealand, especially after sun down so people should wrap up warmly if heading out for the evening.
Wellington may still see brisk southerlies and showers but conditions should be easing into the evening.
Sunday night looks settled and dry everywhere.
