Winter returns – Tuesday’s Weather Video

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Summer may well be on the horizon already – but there’s a sting in winter’s tail, and this week sees wintry conditions in parts of the country.

Snow down to 300m or so is picked for parts of the lower South Island, though levels will be low and short-lived at that altitude.

While that’s going on down south, there’s welcome rain on the way for dry parts of Canterbury – while there’s also rain for parts of the North Island too.
