Wellington Fog: Flight Cancellations expected to continue overnight

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Updated 4:45pm — Fog is still causing delays and cancellations to flights in and out of Wellington Airport, while the rest of the country prepares for a mostly sunny and dry weekend.

Flights at Wellington Airport have again been grounded due to the fog, an airport spokeswoman said.

“We ask that all travellers check with their airline or on the Wellington Airport website at www.wellingtonairport.co.nz on their flights status.”

WeatherWatch.co.nz says the fog and low cloud will continue overnight with drizzle patches developing.

More flight delays are possible on Saturday morning too – but at this stage forecasters are hopeful winds should clear the fog and low cloud away during the morning.

Wellington:

Drizzle returning tonight, before clearing during Saturday morning. Sunny spells developing across Saturday.
