Weekend Video: Warm, drier, weather coming!

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We’ve had cold weather in both islands this week but a new airflow from Australia moving in this weekend and early next week means daytime highs will push into the late teens and then low to mid 20s.

Next week New Zealand is dominated by westerly quarter winds which will encourage downpours on the West Coast but generally dry weather in most other regions.

We’ll have more details this weekend in news stories about the Labour Weekend forecast – and next week we’ll get much more detailed about the Long Weekend in our weekday Video Updates.

Please note, the NZ Herald videos can take up to 60 seconds to display below & autoplay. For instant playback please use our free app or the player on the right hand side of our website.
