Some parts of the country will be several degrees above normal this weekend while others will be several below average for this week in April historically.
Cooler winds from the Southern Ocean will help drop temperatures through the Southern Alps and along the western side of the South Island.
In the North Island a nor’west flow will see the eastern side push up above normal, along with the northern half.
Most other places are about normal temperaturewise for this time of year.
