Our condensed Waitangi weekend is almost upon us and for much of the weekend, sunny skies should prevail. The only blip on the radar appears to be a weak front moving north to affect southern and eastern areas on Sunday with a cool southerly change and just a few showers are expected.
Wellington should have a humdinger today and tomorrow for the big sevens tournament and plenty of liquid refreshments will no doubt be consumed in the heat but whatever the weather you would think, it wouldn’t stop the sevens partygoers from indulging!
Eastern parts of the North Island haven’t seen the sunniest weather this week like the rest of the country has but today Napier should see a dry day for the first one day cricket international between New Zealand and Bangladesh.
Hamilton turned on the weather the other night for the only 20/20 International between the 2 sides but unfortunately the game didn’t match the heavens above and the visitors were annihilated.
Today the weather looks to be dawning possibly a little cloudy in the bay but sunshine should be about by early afternoon when play is set to get underway. Cloud is likely to thicken up again into the evening but conditions are expected to be quite pleasant for most of the match.
