Today is a fairly ‘average’ day weatherwise with a breezy light south west flow across the country and remaining showers clearing.
Heaviest showers this morning will be around Auckland, western Waikato, western Northland, Taranaki and maybe south Wairarapa. Most of these showers will ease this morning.
Southland and a few other regions may see the odd shower too – but generally conditions improving today.
As we said on Monday this week starts and ends on high pressure….a large high in the Tasman Sea is slowly moving eastwards over New Zealand and Friday, Saturday and Sunday all look mostly calm and dry with sunny weather particularly inland.
A few isolated showers are possible this weekend, especially on the West Coast on Sunday where showers may turn to late rain. But 90% of the country should be dry this weekend with average temperatures
