We’re not done with the spring westerlies or Southern Ocean storms

With the summer heat already arriving in 90% of New Zealand’s regions it’s easy to think spring is done, but it’s not.

We have some large Southern Ocean storms that – while well south of NZ – will bring some bursts of gale westerlies and western rain.

At the same time large high pressure to NZ’s east helps feed warmer airflows in.

We break down the end of November with a forecast for the final week.

Oh wow! Certainly noticing a lot of plants flowering earlier this year in Auckland.
