Today is the final day of cold sou’westers for many areas, with warmer, calmer weather moving back to many areas by the end of Friday and for the first weekend of May.

The large high will cross NZ from late Friday to early Tuesday bringing mainly settled, dry, weather this weekend and a calm start to next week.
