Here’s what is making the weather headlines today…..
WARM DAY – NORTH ISLAND
The warmest temperatures today can be expected for the North Island with highs reaching into the early twenties for many. It is warmest in the east with highs in the mid or perhaps even late twenties.
A FEW HEAVY SHOWERS NORTH OTAGO OVERNIGHT
A small trough line forms overnight bringing the possibility of a few heavy showers for North Otago and perhaps southern parts of South Canterbury. Lower level instability is one factor along with surface converging winds.
HEAVY RAIN WEST COAST OVERNIGHT THURSDAY / FRIDAY
Our next system moves in from the Tasman Sea overnight Thursday into Friday bringing heavy rain to the West Coast.
