HEAVY RAIN NORTH OF NAPIER EASES

Metservice has issued a rain warning for parts of Hawkes Bay and Gisborne but this risk subsides this morning as heavy rain eases.

HEAVY SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON

Instability develops about the upper South Island this afternoon and perhaps parts of Bay Of Plenty, Metservice have issued a few thunderstorm chances in their outlook. More here.

COOL MORNINGS STILL TO COME – SOUTH ISLAND

While we are getting along now in terms of spring there may still be a few cool mornings to come, especially for the South Island. Alpine areas have a risk of a light frost this morning and again tomorrow, although tomorrow’s risk shifts to parts of Central Otago and the Lakes District. Friday when high pressure moves over has a greater chance of a frost overall.
