A high pressure system sits over the country today bringing settled weather, there will be areas of fog morning and night though. A few showers brush the eastern North Island also.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, Northland has a few showers, clearing evening. Areas of mist or fog morning and night. Light south to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 13 – 16


Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, mist or fog morning and night. Light winds.
Highs: 7 – 14


Eastern North Island
Cloudy periods, a few showers along the coastal fringe thin out and clear later in the day. Southwesterlies.
Highs: 12 – 14


Wellington
A few morning showers clear, sunny areas then increase with southerly winds easing and dying away in the afternoon.
High: 12


Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny for Marlborough, a mix of sun and cloud elsewhere. Tasman has a shower or two. Light winds.
Highs: 10 – 13


Canterbury
Sunny, mist or fog possible morning and night. Afternoon east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 6 – 12


West Coast
Mostly sunny, a few clouds at times especially for Buller. High cloud for Fiordland. Light east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 12 – 14


Southland & Otago
Sunny, mist or fog possible morning and night inland. There may be some high cloud also. Light northerlies.
Highs: 6 – 13
