Wednesday’s national forecast: High pressure covers most of NZ (+9 Maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today is a settled day in most regions as high pressure continues to cover us – but some places will have stronger winds.

The lower North Island through Cook Strait and Wellington will feel those winds picking up from the north today.

Westerlies in Southland may also be brisk in exposed areas – and brings a few showers later.

Inland parts of both islands are again warmer than average today by several degrees.

To make sense of all of this – and the maps below – please refer to your local HOURLY forecast.
