A front lingers over the North Island today bringing showers or some rain, high pressure further south with some drizzle in the east.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Northland has a mix of sun and cloud, further south skies are cloudier with the odd shower or some patchy rain. Some rain develops about the Waikato from afternoon. East to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 17-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly cloudy, a few showers turning to rain this afternoon, especially for Taranaki. Southeasterly winds, light winds for Taranaki.
Highs: 13-17

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with the odd drizzle patch or shower, southeasterlies tend more to the east in the afternoon. Some overnight rain.
Highs: 14-16

Wellington

Mostly cloudy with southeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-16

Marlborough & Nelson

Cloudy for Marlborough, chance of a drizzle patch. Nelson has partly cloudy skies. East to southeasterly winds, afternoon northerlies for Nelson.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury

Mostly cloudy weather with some drizzle possible, east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 11-12

West Coast

Mostly sunny but expect some high cloud, light winds tend to the west or southwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-17

Southland & Otago
Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells, coastal Otago especially north Otago may see mostly cloudy skies with the chance of a drizzle patch. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 12-14
