> From the WeatherWatch archives

A large high pressure system brings mainly settled weather to New Zealand today, a few showers in the east though especially the eastern North Island.

North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds and afternoon sea breezes in the west, a few afternoon clouds could bring an isolated shower or two. The east coast has some cloud, a few showers too but these gradually thin out and clear, winds from the southeast.

South Island

Mostly sunny with light winds this morning then afternoon sea breezes. Banks Peninsula northwards has some morning cloud with the risk of a shower then sunny spells develop.
