A low pressure system moves over New Zealand today bringing some wet weather to most regions for a time, the east coast of the North Island has a fairly good day though.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Patchy rain, more so from afternoon. light northerlies change southerly overnight.
Highs: 15-17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly cloudy with the odd shower or some rain about Taranaki and Kapiti, northerly winds change east to southeast in the evening at which point the risk of a shower increases for most.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny areas and some high cloud, cloud thickens and lowers in the evening as northerlies change southerly. Overnight rain.
Highs: 15-17

Wellington
Morning showers then clearing, further showers in the evening as northerlies change southerly.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson
Scattered rain, mainly morning then easing. Rain or showers picking up again for a time in the evening as north to northwesterly winds change southeast.
Highs: 14-15

Canterbury
Showers, clearing overnight. Southwesterly winds.
Highs: 10-12

West Coast
Morning rain or showers clears then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon, light winds pick up from the southeast from midday.
Highs: 14-15

Southland & Otago
Showers or some rain, clearing in the evening about Southland, clearing overnight for Otago. South to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 11-12
