Mostly sunny, westerly winds tend northwest in the afternoon.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Early rain clears then expect sunny spells, may be the odd isolated shower about otherwise mainly dry. West to northwesterly winds ease from afternoon.
Highs: 16-18

Eastern North Island
Mainly sunny and warm with northwesterly winds.
Highs: 19-21

Wellington
Cloudy areas, chance of a shower otherwise mainly dry. Brisk northwesterly winds.
High: 17

Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny for Marlborough, Nelson has a mostly sunny morning then cloud increases from afternoon, evening showers. Increasing north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 17-18

Canterbury
Mostly sunny, evening spots of rain spread from the west. Heavy rain develops about the high country from afternoon. North to northwesterly winds increase.
