A northeasterly airflow continues to flow over most of New Zealand today while a weak area of low pressure lies over the upper North Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Showers, chance of an isolated heavy fall. Parts of Northland and Auckland may be dry in the morning. Light winds.
Highs: 17-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Showers, more so late afternoon / evening with the chance of an isolated heavy fall. There may be a sunny spell or two also. Easterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

Eastern North Island

Showers or areas of rain with easterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

Wellington

Mostly cloudy with the odd shower possible, easterly winds.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson

Cloudy with the odd drizzle patch possible, easterly winds.
Highs: 15-17

Canterbury

Cloudy with the odd light shower or drizzle patch from midday, east to northeasterly winds.
High: 13

West Coast

Sunny spells, chance of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening. Light winds.
Highs: 16-17

Southland & Otago

Sunny spells, cloud increases from midday then late afternoon / early evening there may be a few isolated showers (mainly about western Southland / inland Otago). Coastal Otago is cloudy with the odd drizzle patch possible. ENE winds, breezy about coastal Otago.
Highs: 13-18
