A high covers most of New Zealand today with its centre in the Tasman Sea, mainly sunny in the east and some cloud at times in the west.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with light winds, some cloud builds in the afternoon. The Bay Of Plenty sees cloudy areas for much of the day, however, with the chance of a light shower or two in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with light winds tending west to southwesterly by midday, southwesterly winds blow about Taranaki for much of the day, however, with some cloud at times.
Highs: 18-20

Eastern North Island

A mainly sunny day with light winds.
Highs: 20-21

Wellington

Mostly sunny, light Northerly winds.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny for Marlborough with light winds tending east to northeast in the afternoon. Nelson sees southwesterly winds for much of the day with sunny conditions.
Highs: 19-21

Canterbury

Sunny with light winds, tending east to northeasterly near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 18-20

West Coast

Areas of cloud, chance of a shower, otherwise mainly dry. Southwesterly winds.
Highs 16-17

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas about Southland, mostly sunny elsewhere. Westerly winds, breezy about the Southland coast.
Highs: 18-19
