A high brings mainly settled weather to most of New Zealand today. Some rain about Southland, however, especially near the coast.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny areas, a chance of fog morning and night about the Waikato and inland Bay Of Plenty. South to southwesterly winds for most, although Northland sees southeasterly winds.
Highs: 21-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Sunny areas with light winds, tending west to southwest during the afternoon. Low risk of a fog patch for inland areas morning and night.
Highs: 19-20

Eastern North Island

Sunny with light winds tending east to northeasterly in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-21

Wellington

Sunny, light northerlies tend southerly around midday.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds, tending northeasterly in the afternoon about Marlborough.
Highs: 20-21

Canterbury

Sunny with light winds, any morning fog or low cloud clears.
Highs: 20-22

West Coast

Sunny areas with light west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 17-18

Southland & Otago

About Southland expect some rain at times, breezy northwesterlies first thing then winds change light southerly during the morning. For Otago expect some high cloud, southerlies push in during the afternoon bringing cloudier skies especially near the coast. Chance of a shower about Otago also mainly near the coast but staying south of Otago Peninsula.
