An anticyclone remains in control for most of New Zealand tonight meaning settled conditions, cloud a little less prominant about the South Island tonight. An easterly airflow over the upper North Island brings some cloud, a few showers north of Auckland clear this evening.

Northland

Cloudy areas with easterly winds, chance of a shower or two.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Auckland

Cloudy areas with easterly winds, showers north of the city clearing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 9

Bay Of Plenty

Areas of cloud, light east to southeast winds.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Waikato & Central North Island

Areas of cloud east of Lake Taupo, mainly clear skies further east although
some high cloud is possible overnight. Light easterlies.

Tonight’s Lows: -1-4

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with light winds. A few drizzle patches about northern Hawkes
Bay / Gisborne clearing this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies, a touch of high cloud possible overnight. Light
winds.

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies tonight, southeasterlies ease.

Areas of cloud breaking up a little this evening / overnight.
Southeasterlies ease.
