Rain eases across most of the country this evening and overnight however about the Bay Of Plenty heavy rain may be an issue. Strong winds from the north or northeast ease overnight across the country too.

Northland

Patchy rain, chance of a thunderstorm early on overnight then easing as northerlies change lighter westerly.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Auckland

Periods of rain, some drizzle with brisk to strong northerlies, rain eases overnight as winds change lighter westerly.

Tonight’s Low: 14

Bay Of Plenty

Rain with heavy falls, breezy northeasterlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 15

Waikato & Central North Island

Rain, possibly heavy then easing overnight. Northeasterlies.

Tonight’s Low: 12-13

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with spells of rain, mostly clearing this evening although the odd
spot may still spread from the west about Hawkes Bay overnight. Rain may be a
little more persistent overnight Gisborne northwards overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 14

Taranaki

Periods of rain with the chance of a heavy fall then easing overnight,
strong northeasterlies tend northwest later this evening then ease.

Western North Island

Periods of rain clear this evening, northwesterly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 12

Wellington

Areas of rain clearing later this evening, strong to gale northwesterlies
ease overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Nelson

Remaining areas of rain clearing later this evening, breezy north to
northwesterly winds ease.

Tonight’s Low: 10

Marlborough

Rain with the odd heavy fall clearing this evening, gusty northwesterlies
ease overnight with skies becoming clear.

Tonight’s Low: 8

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies, some high cloud possible. North to northwesterly
winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

West Coast

Showers, some heavy with thunderstorms then easing overnight.
Northerlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Coastal Otago

Mainly clear skies with some high cloud at times, light winds.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Central Otago

Clear areas and some high cloud, northwesterly winds. A few spots of rain
possible west of the Southern Lakes area by dawn.

Tonight’s Low: 4-5

Southland

Mainly clear skies with northwesterly winds, a few areas of high
cloud.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8
