A gentle northwesterly airflow lies across the country tonight, a weak front is slowly moving north delivering some rain to the West Coast of the South Island and a few spots of rain in the east.

Northland

Mainly clear skies with west to southwest winds easing this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-12

Auckland

Mainly clear with some cloud about, southwesterlies dying out later this evening. Some cloud increases overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 12

Bay Of Plenty

Clear skies with westerlies easing away this evening. Light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 9

Waikato & Central North Island

Clear with a few clouds about, some cloud builds in the west overnight.
Westerlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies, some high cloud moves into the Wairarapa this evening
then further north overnight. Northeasterlies ease.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Western North Island

Areas of cloud thicken later this evening, northwesterly winds. Chance of a
shower towards dawn about Taranaki.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-12

Wellington

Periods of cloud with northerly winds. A few showers move through
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Nelson

Thick high cloud, some brief rain around midnight then clearing. Light
winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Marlborough

High cloud with a few spots of rain possible around midnight, northwesterly
winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Canterbury

Cloudy with a few spells of rain moving through this evening, light winds
tend southwest overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

West Coast

Cloudy with periods of rain, clearing overnight. Northeasterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Coastal Otago

Cloudy spells with light southwesterlies, winds tend northeast
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 9

Central Otago

Cloudy areas with northerly winds, an evening spots of rain clearing.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Southland

Periods of cloud breaking up this evening, westerly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 7
