An anticyclone lies in the Tasman Sea pushing a southwesterly airflow over New Zealand tonight, conditions are mainly settled with areas of cloud about the far south, Gisborne and Northland.

Auckland & Northland
Mainly clear skies, brisk southwesterlies ease this evening. Cloud about western Northland gradually clears away this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 11-13

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Clear skies, southwesterlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-10

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with southwesterly winds, remaining cloud about Gisborne
clears this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies, westerlies ease this evening. Light winds
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Wellington

Mainly clear skies, southerly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 11

Nelson

Mainly clear skies, northerlies ease this evening. Light winds
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Marlborough

Clear skies, easterlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies tonight, light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

West Coast

Clear areas and some cloud. Skies becoming mainly clear overnight. Light
winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-9

Coastal Otago

Periods of cloud with any showers clearing this evening, breezy
westerlies.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Central Otago

Mainly clear skies although expect some cloud in the south and east of the
district. Southerly winds ease overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Southland

Any light showers clear this evening, cloudy periods with breezy westerly
winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-10
