Wednesday – Mild north, chilly south

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Even though skies weren’t overly sunny it didn’t stop some temperatures from moving up to the mid twenties today.

Wanganui was the top in the land with 25 degrees, Gisborne climbed to 24 along with Palmerston North and Whakatane managed 23.

It was much cooler across the South Island with only Milford Sound making 20 degrees and Manapouri just a few kilometres away as the crow flies was the bottom of the nation with 12 degrees.

It’s not looking to be warm and humid tonight with cooler conditions over northern regions compared to last night and central and southern districts could wake up to a fresh feelThursday morning.

Temperatures should pick up across the south tomorrow and possibly be not so generous over the north during Thursday.
