The windy westerly flow continues this weekend, mostly for the South Island and lower North Island – which means warmer than average weather will continue, especially in the east and north.
The upper North Island is closer to high pressure so winds will be lighter as we head into the weekend.
Rain and showers returns to the West Coast while only a few showers will affect western regions of the North Island.
Next week: more westerlies and larger lows coming our way.
