The storm actually made landfall around noon today – however the hurricane is so large it will very slowly track over New Orleans for the next 24 to 36 hours.  The centre of Isaac will slowly cross the coastline this afternoon and tonight NZT – which may differ slightly from the timings in this video, which was recorded earlier today.
