As we head into the weekend we’re back to the daily downpours through inland areas of both islands.
They kick off on Saturday, expand on Sunday and then by Monday a cold front sweeps in with some patchy rain or showers.
There will be a couple of temperature drops for southerners on Monday and again on Tuesday due to the southerlies – then we tack more westerly later next week.
As for Christmas Day, it’s still too far out to lock in but the signs are there that we may have high pressure to the north and low pressure south of New Zealand – if this set up stays true it will mean a westerly for New Zealand which encourages sunnier, hotter, weather in the east but cloudier and perhaps showery weather in the west. We’ll have more details on Monday too!
