Weather Video: Wind, rain and cold coming for parts of NZ, Cyclone Oma remains at sea

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have humid northerlies around northern New Zealand right now but that is about to change as a southerly moves in on Friday and over the weekend.

Saturday may not be as wet as forecasts earlier indicated, we track the rain bands and showers.

On Sunday a new low deepens quite a bit off the east coast and will create strong, cold, south to south east winds right over New Zealand with a significant temperature drop for those in the south.

The system unwinds next week and high pressure returns. We also take a look at expected rainfall totals between today and next Tuesday.
