Text updated 5:37pm Saturday: A frosty Sunday morning is on the cards for much of NZ, but conditions will warm up again for many northern and eastern areas especially across Sunday afternoon. That’s due to nor’westers building ahead of the next cold snap.
North Islanders will warm up even further on Monday, with the cold snap not moving in until Tuesday and Wednesday.
The week ahead sees more sou’westers so it won’t be as warm as a couple weeks back – but in saying that, it won’t be as cold as the cold snap we just saw over yesterday and today, Saturday.
