A cold southerly is spreading northwards bringing rain to places that need it but also cold wintry weather to those in Southland and Otago who don’t want it (for the most part anyway!).
The main cold change shifts into the North Island on Friday night and Saturday then eases on Sunday.
A gigantic high pressure system will move out in to the Tasman Sea this weekend and linger for all of next week, bringing mostly dry weather to NZ. It may linger through next weekend and even early into the following week.
